Holidays are finally over...

Man, these past few weeks have been busy busy busy with the Holidays. It was fun to see all of our friends and family, but all three of us definitely need a break to relax as a family for a little while ;)

Day after Christmas we went to Jamie's cousin's baptism

And here was our Rockin' New Years Eve: it only consisted of Jamie, Haylee and I; We watched the K-State game, made some awesome appetizers, Haylee crashed at 9:00 (which is super late for her), Jamie fell asleep at 10:30 (I immediately woke her up and insisted she stay up until midnight), we watched the ball drop on TV and then crashed. We paid for that late night the following day, man were we tired. Guess we're getting old?

Updates on Haylee, who will be nine months old on January 15th:
-She crawls FAST, really FAST. We can't turn away for a second and she is across the room heading for trouble. One of her favorite activities is to crawl towards Mac (our dog) and he'll move away and she'll keep crawling to him wherever he is. We find it entertaining, but I'm sure he doesn't.
-Can crawl up stairs (8 steps), but we're always right behind her to make sure she doesn't tumble.
-Has 5 teeth poking through (finally!)
-Pulls herself up to everything (the crib finally got knocked down to it's lowest slot)
-Dances (well sort of), when music comes on she'll rock in place and smile real big
-Loves Special Agent Oso. She'll stop whatever she's doing and make sure she watches.

5 1/2 Months

I know, we are so terrible at updating this blog, but life has been crazy and busy lately. I'll talk about what's new with Daniel and I and save the best for last with little miss Haylee. I started a new job about a month ago with a skilled nursing facility. I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would and it's been a challenge, which I think I needed. It's helping me learn a lot more and get some great experience in my field.

As for Daniel, his last day at his job is tomorrow. He is really excited to start a whole new career path! He is going to be taking a class in October to become a CNA (certified nursing assistant) and then is going to apply to nursing schools for next fall. He will need to take some prerequisites in the spring and will work as a CNA for a while.

Now for Haylee... She is growing and doing new things every day almost. She is making new sounds with her mouth all of the time and is now rolling everywhere!! We officially had to buy some outlet covers and start babyproofing the house as she is all over! She is also beginning to sit up on her own. We need at least a cushion or us around her in case she falls, but for the most part she is sitting on her own! She has also had several firsts since our last post. She had her first time in her Grandma and Grandpa Myers pool and has now been to 2 K-State games (and is undefeated so far)!! She has also began to like cereal, especially the mixed fruit kind:) She's getting so big we can't believe it!! She has such a little personality and is such a sweet little baby! Haylee is Baptized!!

Haylee is now a little Catholic girl! She was baptized on Sunday, August 22nd, 2010. She did so well at her baptism. She slept through about half of mass and then woke up just in time for Father Jerry to baptize her. She didn't even get upset when the holy water was poured on her head. Her godparents are Aunt Megan and Uncle Ben. We were so lucky to have all of her grandparents there and her Great Grandma Flack and Great Grandma and Grandpa Fracol. Here are some pictures...

4 months!!

I know I know, we are terrible about updating this blog. This past month has been super crazy as I have been looking for a new job. Luckily I found one:) And I will only be working 4 days a week which gives me an extra day at home with our little Haylee!!

She went to the doc on Wednesday the 18th. She now weighs 13 lbs 12 oz. and is 24 in. long. She is 50th percentile in both areas so that is just perfect!! She of course had to get shots which made her very mad, but she recovered well:) She is always doing more and is growing like crazy. We were hoping to get her started on cereal this month, but her doctor said to wait another month, especially since she has been sleeping so well. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 7 weeks old! How did we get so lucky with this one??

Haylee got to go to her first Royal's game last Sunday. She seemed to enjoy it and just looked around the whole time. She did great, but probably because she likes to be outside. She is really starting to notice our dog Mac now, too. She thinks he is funny and laughs at him when he moves around or when he plays fetch. She tries to grab at him too and sometimes can get a hold of his fur:) He is really good with her and always likes to check up on her to make sure she is ok, esp. if she is upset. 3 months and talking...

Well not speaking words, but Haylee sure has discovered her voice. She coos and "talks" all the time now! She has also learned how to scream, which is quite funny when she does it:) She is rolling over more and more now and has figured out how to turn in a circle when she's laying on her back.

Haylee is really enjoying putting things in her mouth now. I think she's too young to be teething, but she sure likes to bring things to her mouth. She's trying to put my hand in it as we speak:)She is also giggling more, which makes us laugh, which makes her laugh more. We can tell she is learning and discovering more and more every day. She is quite a funny little girl and already has quite the personality:)

Rolling Over

Haylee is now rolling over, and more than just one time! She rolled over for her Grandma Laura a couple days ago, so I had to see if she would do it for me too and sure enough she did! Then that night we tried again so Daniel could see, but she was sure tired:) The next day she rolled over 3 times for us! Daniel got it on video on his phone, but we haven't figured out how to upload it yet. Hopefully we can put that up soon.

Other than that Haylee is doing great! She is growing growing growing and cooing like crazy. She is a happy litte baby and loves to play! More to come...

2 Months

Haylee went in yesterday for her 2 month appointment at the doctor. It was good because she is a growing girl, but bad because she had to get lots of shots:( She did well, though. She cried hysterically, of course, who wouldn't, but calmed down quickly with a bottle:)

Haylee now weighs 10 lbs 11 oz (55th%), is 22 1/8 in. long (50th %), and has a head circumference of 15 1/2 (75th%). We are happy she is right on track! Dr. Jackson said to keep doing what we are doing since she is a happy little baby and is a growing girl!

We also got her to giggle for the first time last weekend, on the 11th! It was the cutest thing we've ever heard, but she hasn't done it since! She is so smiley now and is a super happy baby, unless she wants her bottle, then she really knows how to tell us! She loves playing on her activity gym mat. The monkey on there seems to be her best friend:) She likes to coo at him:) We're so happy Haylee is doing well and can't wait to update with all of the new things she should start doing!!

So we have obviously been terrible at updating this blog, but we do have some things to report. Haylee has been changing so much the past few weeks. She is so much more alert now and has definitely found her voice! She looks around all of the time and seems to be trying to figure out this world she is in. We have started taking her out and she just looks around with her big blue eyes! She is such a good baby. She now is sleeping 5-7 hours a night, only waking up once to eat. We are hoping this continues!! She really seems to be a happy baby until she is hungry or tired, in which case she has learned to scream (not necessarily cry, but truly scream):)

One really exciting thing she did last week was roll over! She rolled from her belly to her back, but hasn't done it since. She has been close a few times, but without success again yet.

Haylee goes back to the dr. next week for her 2 month appointment. That's one I'm really not looking forward to since she has to get shots. Hopefully she will do better than I will:)

I have now gone back to work this past week. It was super hard to leave Haylee every day, but thank God for my mom who is watching her so I at least know she is getting the best possible care. It's also great that I can work part time so I was home early most days this week, worked a half day Thursday, and was off on Friday.

1 month Old

Haylee is now 1 month old!! She is so amazing and starting to do a little more than she was. She is now smiling at times. Not all that often, but I can usually get at least one big one out of her a day. She seems to smile most of the time when she is on her changing pad (and yes I know the difference between a gas smile and her beautiful big smile)! She doesn't enjoy tummy time too much, or at least for a short period of time, but she is getting stronger and holding her head up more.

She had her 1 month checkup at the doctor on Tuesday and now weighs 9 lbs 2 oz (55th %), her height is 20 3/4 in (45th%), and her head circumference is 14 3/4 (70th%). So she is a growing girl and right about on track.

Haylee will be 3 weeks tomorrow. She is adapting well to life out in the world. She of course doesn't do much now, but we have been having so much fun with her and are loving every second we spend with her. She is a very alert little baby and really takes in the scenery. She's finally here!! We are so blessed to have a healthy little girl that we absolutely adore. She is just wonderful to have and could not be more fun, even at 4 days old:)

Everything went well with the labor and delivery. It was a long 18 hour process, but in the end Haylee and I are both doing well. She was born April 15th, 2010 at 4:48pm. She weighed 7lbs 13oz and was 19 in long. She was a much bigger girl than we were anticipating, but it has been so great because she has the cutest chubbiest little cheeks! She's a sweet little baby, but definitely has some lungs on her when she's hungry and ready to eat:)

Daniel and I feel so blessed and lucky to have this wonderful little girl come into our lives. We also want to thank all of our family and friends for their wonderful support through all of this. We love you and feel so blessed little Haylee has all of these wonderful people who already love her so much. Here are a few pictures, we will update soon with more.

Almost Baby Time

We are now in the last week before our baby girl's arrival. I have been having contractions like crazy since last Saturday, but they are not painful (most of the time) so they don't really mean much. Yesterday the doctor said it could be any time. We still have our appointment for next Wednesday night to go in and begin the induction process if she hasn't come by then. My gut feeling is that she will wait until then to make her grand appearance:) Either way, in one week, Daniel and I will finally have our baby girl! And everyone else will finally know her name;)

We went to the dr. today and it was decided that if she doesn't come before April 15th, her due date, that I would get induced. I will most likely be going in the night of the 14th and get induced the next morning. So unless she comes early, I guess we will have our tax baby as everyone likes to say:)

Everything is prepared and ready for her arrival so she can come whenever she wants. I'm just relieved that she will be here for sure in 2 weeks!!! We can't wait to finally meet her!!

What a Ride!!

Man that season was fun!! Not only did K-State totally exceed our expectations, but they raised the bar for next season. And to think that this was our final "rebuilding" year before we were "supposed" to compete with the big boys! Look for this team to be even better next year and don't be surprised to see Jake cutting down the nets in Houston next April!

At least now we don't have to worry about our baby girl coming during a K-State game ;)

Big Day (37 Weeks)!

If our baby girl would be born today she would be considered full term!!! That's the best thing I could ask for and I'm so happy we have made it to this point. Now, how to get her to come out... Just kidding, I'm sure she still needs a few more weeks to make sure she's ready to come into this world. We go back to the dr. today and get to meet our pediatrician also so for some reason I'm kind of excited about that:)

On another note, root on our cats tonight!!! Sweet sixteen!!!! Let's hope they can pull off another win against Xavier! Wear your purple proud!

Is it time yet???

I'm getting so antsy and ready to meet this little girl I almost can't stand it! But we are trying to keep busy and get as much done and enjoy as much time as we can before her arrival.

My wonderful friends threw me an awesome baby shower 2 weekends ago, which was so much fun! It was great seeing everyone there:) Here are a few pictures from it...

Her first K-State outfit from Daniel's parents!!

This past weekend Daniel and I were able to go watch K-State play Baylor at the Sprint Center for the Big 12 tournament. That was super fun, a great game, yet quite uncomfortable sitting for a long period of time. I can't begin to count how many people either stared as we walked by or commented on my belly. I've had several people ask me when I am due and when I tell them they look surprised and respond with, "You definitely won't make it that far," or, "I thought you were further along than that!" So I guess that means the baby is growing, right? It's a good thing for people to say that:) Well here is my week 35 picture so you can judge for yourself how "huge" I am:)

She sure is moving around a lot recently and obviously has very little room to move as she makes my belly into various shapes and sizes all over. She's definitely learned to give me a good kick in the side and ribs, too! It just makes me laugh when she does that, I'm just happy she's moving around in there. And as I've mentioned before she still gets the hiccups at least 2-3 times a day, she even has them right now:)

We are now down to our weekly Dr. appointments so that's exciting to know we are that close. I feel like it's so close yet so far away. I just can't wait to see this little girl and hold her in my arms!!

34 Weeks

As of today we have 6 weeks left until our due date!! I went to the Dr. today and as usual it was a quick visit with her telling me everything is looking good and I'm still measuring right on target at 34 inches (I think it's inches, maybe it's cm, well that's why I'm an OT b/c I don't have to measure stuff often...). I like the quick visits because that means everything is going well so far. Our girl's heartbeat is still good and as usual the Dr. said she was moving around again:) Actually she had the hiccups today while I was there. She is getting the hiccups 2-3 times a day now! But the Dr. reassured me that it was normal and that her lungs were just getting ready to function in the outside world. The Dr. also felt around for her head position today and said she is facing down, which is a good thing as long as she doesn't move and get into a breech position. So hopefully this baby will stay where she is! Otherwise things are going well. Her room is all ready for her to make her arrival, although I think we'd like to wait a few more weeks until we meet her to make sure she is ready to face this world!!

33 Weeks

Here is a quick update on my growing baby bump:) She sure is growing a lot lately!! I even have people telling me now I look like I'm about to pop, but I still have 7 weeks to go! Where is she gonna go? It feels like there's no more room!

Baby Showers!!!!!

Baby Myers has now had 2 baby showers thrown for her. We have gotten lots of awesome things for her including all of her bedding, baby clothes, her little baby bathtub, a stroller, and her car seat. We are so thankful to everyone for all of the gifts. Our baby girl is going to be so blessed to have so many wonderful people in her life:) The first shower was thrown by my friends from work, they are so sweet and awesome and we had a great time. They made it a lunch shower at Zio's, an Italian restaurant in Independence. We had so much fun (I did at least :))!! Here are a couple of pictures from it...

The picture with the baby is with my friend's adorable little boy who thought it would be fun to spit up down the front of me:) Of course everyone thought this was quite funny:)

I completely forgot about taking pictures at our other baby shower. It was a really nice couples shower thrown by Daniel's parents friends down in Augusta. We definitely had a great time and are grateful for them doing that for us!!

As for now we are moving right along, Dr. says I am still measuring right on target. That means we are just about 7 weeks away now!! We can't wait!!

Antsy. That's what best decribes both of us. And we still have 8 weeks!! Man, I hope they fly by. Luckily we both stay fairly busy, otherwise we'd be going nuts. Our baby furniture is set to be delivered between noon-2:00 today, and as soon as I get it assembled we'll post some updated pictures. It's been 8+ weeks since we ordered it, so we are super excited to finally get it.

This weekend we are going back to Augusta for a baby shower on Saturday evening. A friend of my family is putting it together and it should be a good time. But first we are going down Friday to see George Strait in concert at the new arena in Wichita with my parents. We are super super super excited to see him. We've been to A LOT of shows since we've been together, but we've never seen him. And to be honest, I'm sort of looking forward to Reba as well. (Is that weird?) It will probably be the last concert we go to for a while...

Baby Foot

So this little girl's foot keeps poking me in my side continuously throughout the day now. At times I forget and it scares me when I feel something alive poking out of my belly! I think it is one of the most amazing and crazy things to experience to feel a little tiny foot poking out:) She's getting so cramped in there, poor baby! I just love this feeling more than anything when she's moving all around and I can see and feel her movements. This was funny to me all day as it kept happening so I thought I would share:) She must be getting antsy in there, I know I am!

Less Than 10 Weeks Now

I had a dr. appointment on Thursday. Just the normal monthly checkup. Everything went well. She listened to the heartbeat and measured my belly. She said I am measuring right on target for my due date. Now I start going to the dr. every 2 weeks so that means we are getting closer! Things are starting to come together. We now have curtains up that are absolutely adorable! My mom made them and did a wonderful job. She also gave us the rocking chair she's had since I was a baby, painted it, and made a nice big comfy cushion that goes on it. Our furniture should be in within the next week so once we get everything put together we will put up some pics of the baby room. I'm still feeling pretty good, though I can no longer sleep. I guess it's just preparing me for the arrival of our little one:) We can't wait!! (Belly pic is from last weekend so just over 29 weeks)

Almost 30 weeks...

We are only a short 10 weeks and 3 days away from the due date. Her room is coming along nicely. Everything is painted, curtains are up, and rocking chair is in place. The furniture should be arriving by February 12th, and the room will then be complete. The next few weeks are sure to drag by slowly, yet fly by at the same time...

Next Dr. appointment is this Thursday.

27 Weeks

Exciting news... We made it to our third trimester! Some say it's 27 weeks, some say 28 weeks, but either way tomorrow I will be 28 weeks so in my mind we are there:) Things are moving right along. Our girl's room is finished, now we just need the furniture, which should be in within the next 1-3 weeks! We are super excited to get it all set up and I think I will feel more ready for her to arrive when that is finished. Earlier this week baby girl started getting the hiccups! At first I thought it was weird she was kicking so lightly and so regularly (like every 1-2 seconds), but then I realized she must be getting the hiccups. I looked some things up online and that's what it seems to be and that is supposed to be happening right about now also. She is kicking more and you can see her movements on my belly all of the time now. There's definitely not as much room to move around in there! My next Dr. appointment is in 2 weeks, then they start every other week. That's about all that's going on for now!

26 Weeks

We had our 6 month Dr. appointment on Thursday and things are coming along right on track. My belly is measuring right at 26 weeks and her heart rate is still sounding strong. I had my glucose tolerance test where I have to drink this glucose drink and then they draw my blood an hour later to test for gestational diabetes. I haven't heard anything, so I'm assuming all is well. My dr. said no news from them is good news:)

Daniel is now in the process of painting the baby's room. We went with a green color for the walls and plan to have pink and brown accents. That will match the bedding we picked out. We have furniture ordered now as well, which should be in within 3-5 weeks!! We got a crib and a combo dresser with a mirror. The color of the furniture is brushed white. I can't wait to get it all put together! Here are some pics of the room and my awesome painter:) We will post more when we get the furniture put together in the room. Things seem to be coming along nicely. 3 months left and her room is getting closer every week to being ready for our little miracle to show up!!

25 Weeks

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Things have been going well. We have enjoyed the holiday and are now getting busy getting the nursery ready for baby to arrive. We have ordered furniture and Daniel has started painting. We are painting the nursery a light green color. We will post some pictures when we have everything finished and set up.

As for our girl, she has been kicking more and more, although she does have her sleepy days where she is not very active. Daniel finally got to feel her kick this past weekend!!

Our next dr. appointment is this Thursday. I have to have my glucose tolerance test done, which I'm not really looking forward to. I hear the drink is awful and I who enjoys getting their blood drawn?? Hopefully everything will be fine. As for now, we only have 9 more appointments left before her arrival. We are just waiting and continuing to get things ready for our baby girls arrival!

Baby Myers is a...

Well it's official, we know what we are having... she's a GIRL!!! Our little girl is completely healthy at this point and weighing in at 1 lb. already:) The sonographer measured her brain, looked at her heart, and did several other measurements to make sure everything looks ok so far. She also looked at her spine, which looked good as well:) She was moving around like crazy during the sonogram and had her legs up above her head. It was really awesome to see her squirming around so much. We are so happy and blessed that we have a healthy baby. Now we get to plan a nursery! From looking at her profile I'm convinced she has Daniel's nose, but only time will tell:) Due date is still confirmed for April 15th 2009!! We can't wait to meet her!!

21 Weeks

Just adding a new baby belly picture. I feel like it grows massive amounts in only a week lately so I figure an update makes sense. A new post will be added in 2 days when we find out if our little baby is a boy or a girl!! December 8th is almost here, finally!

Newest Baby Bump picture, taken just this morning...

Nothing new to note of. Find out the sex on December 8th, so that's just right around the corner. Neither of us have any idea still. One day we think it's a boy and the next we think it's a girl. Good thing purple looks good on either ;)

K-State decided to lose against Nebraska last Saturday night, so that puts an end to their magical run with Coach Snyder returning. We should be a lot better next year, and hopefully a trip to a bowl... We now turn our attention to basketball season, where the Cats should be in the top 25 the majority of the year and poised to make a deep run in the NCAA tourney. In Frank Martin I trust!!

November Dr. appointment/ 23 days...

I had my last doctor appointment on Thursday the 12th. It was the quickest one we've had. My doctor just listened to the heartbeat, which sounded strong, and measured my belly for the first time. Nothing much to report. She says everything looks good right now and to keep doing what we're doing. She did say the baby sounded quite active, which I can definitely confirm. I'm defninitely feeling him or her more now depending on the day. She said Daniel should be able to feel the baby within the next month so that will be exciting. 23 days now until we find out if Baby is a girl or a boy! Any thoughts?? Give us your guess now, the countdown has officially started!We will keep you updated and don't forget to watch that K-State vs. Nebraska game next week, it's a big one!!

K-State Football and Baby Update

A great weekend for football this weekend!! Yes, it was the ever exciting KU vs. K-State football game as well as Gary, Daniel's dad's, surprise birthday tailgate for his 50th birthday this weekend. Both were a HUGE success!! Gary didn't have a clue about the party and K-State had an awesome victory over KU 17-10. It was quite a fun game and the weather cooperated perfectly being in the mid to upper 70's. We were sad my parents weren't able to make it as my dad just had shoulder surgery, but he seems to be doing well:) My sister was able to come, however, which was great! One more home game this year for KSU vs. Missouri and then an away game vs. Nebraska. It may be asking a lot, but we are hoping we will not be finished there this season! This football season has been a lot more exciting than we were expecting:)

Here is the latest baby bump picture. This is at 17 weeks. This was from game day prior to leaving for the game, so we had just gotten up and ready at 5:30 am. That explains the half closed eyes:) This has been the week of lots of "Wow's!" The baby has obviously grown and even those who had seen me the week or 2 before were surprised at how much the belly has grown. The most exciting news this week is that I have been feeling the baby moving!!! I'm pretty sure I felt it before, but now I'm sure as I've felt it almost every day this past week. It just feels like a little flutter in my stomach, and is probably the most amazing thing I've ever experienced. Now for Daniel's quote, "It's not fair you get to feel the baby all of the time, I wish I could feel it too." I thought that was pretty great he wants to be able to experience it too:) Our next doctor's appointment is Thursday (we will be 18 weeks then) so we will keep you posted!

Baby Bump Part II

Until this morning we hadn't updated in a while, so sorry about that. I'm sure most of you know things have been a little crazy lately around the Myers household. Everything is fine with Baby Myers, but as I mentioned before things with work have not gone well. To make a long story short, my work is being taken over by the Independence School District and they have decided to terminate the therapy department. They are, however still going to let us into the building to continue seeing our kids there at this time so that is good. So, last Friday I started my own business, Jamie Myers Occupational Therapy, LLC, and will begin seeing kids independently through Missouri First Steps and hopefully through Missouri Medicaid in the near future as well. I'm not sure how well this will work out, but if it does it would allow me to work 3 days a week, which would be wonderful when the baby is born. But, if it doesn't then that just means God has another plan for us and we will try to take things as they come.

As for the baby, you can see I have begun to get a baby bump which seems to keep growing, esp. in the last week! We are still waiting to feel the baby move, but that probably won't happen for another month or 2. And again still waiting for Dec. 8th when we find out if Baby Myers is a boy or a girl!!! We've had some opinions, but of course nobody is for sure yet:) Can't wait to post those pics!!

Baby Bump

Just took this picture of Jamie before she left for work. A slight baby bump is becoming apparent.

Nothing new to discuss other than the K-State Wildcats are currently in first place in the North. That's pretty exciting to the two of us!!

Next Dr. checkup is November 10th, so we'll let you know of anything after we have that appointment.

It's been a while since we've posted, but we've had a lot going on lately. Unfortunately my job has been super stressful lately. It's been back and forth for a couple months about whether or not we are closing due to financial difficulty and we have recenlty found out that the administration and therapy staff will most likely be cut as of November 1st. As for me, I plan to continue seeing the kids I can independently through Missouri's birth to 3 program. We are just praying that this will work out for us.

Baby Myers is doing just fine. We had a doctor's appointment last Friday where I was able to get the flu shot. The doctor strongly recommended I get the H1N1 shot as well, but it's not available yet so I have a little more time to think about it. We were able to hear the baby's heart beat with the little machine this time, which was really cool! Heart rate is still in the 170's:) I've been feeling much better lately and am slowly have more difficulty comfortably fitting into my pants. Other than that we are just thankful that the baby seems to be healthy for now. We will hopefully be updating soon!!

We had our 2nd monthly checkup today. As Daniel put up, we have a new picture of Baby Myers!! It was probably the coolest thing I've ever seen in my life to see this little one squirming around so much on the sonogram! It was absolutely amazing. We could see the hearbeat, which is a healthy 180 bpm, and could make out a leg and a hand. It's so crazy that all of this is already there and the baby is only 10 weeks!! We got an official due date of April 15th, awesome, tax day:) Easy to remember. The doctor said everything from the sonogram and my blood test look really good so that was reassuring. We also have an official date to find out if Baby Myers is a boy or a girl. We will find this out on December 8th! Then the real planning begins and we will start on our nursery. Other than this, I am still tired most of the time, but am feeling much better and getting bouts of energy here and there so things are going well:)

I know it's sort of blurry, but I can't figure out a way to make the picture more clear. Here is Baby Myers from this morning's appointment. He/she was squirming around pretty good on the sonogram and we heard the heartbeat as well. Due date is still April 15th.

We had a nice long Labor Day weekend full of lots of rest and a KSU football win!! Daniel and I both took Friday off as well so we were able to relax, well I did at least, while Daniel proceeds to clean and cook for me while I sleep:) The baby seems to be keeping me really tired and always hungry, but as long as I keep food in my stomach I seem to keep the nausea under control. I really have never been so tired in my life and have been taking daily naps and going to bed super early. I have heard I should enjoy this now b/c the day will soon come when I am no longer able to sleep:) I have had about 5 people tell me I look pregnant already and I would confirm this considering I am suddenly having a difficult time buttoning most of my jeans! Other than that we are trying to enjoy this time and certainly looking forward to the 2nd trimester when all of the fun begins! I can't wait to have that first kick and to be able to see the baby move in my belly. Then there will be the excitement of finding out if Baby Myers is a boy or a girl! So much exciting things to come, we can't wait. For now it is off to bed in a short while:)

Had a sonogram appt. this morning. Lasted all of 10 minutes. Jamie is now 8 weeks, 1 day along, which would put the due date at April 14th. Heart rate was 170 bpm, which is perfectly normal, although it sounds high to me. Jamie tried to scare me by telling me that a high heart rate of 170 this early means it will be a girl! I did a little research and that's just an old wive's tale...

We looked through some baby names earlier this week and crossed off a lot that we both didn't like. Still quite a few to go through, but we have plenty of time.

Contrary to Daniel's belief, I will now begin posting about our little one and how everything is going. As for now I have been feeling pretty good. Mostly tired and at times nauseous. As some of you know we had a little scare this weekend, but as the picture shows our baby is growing. Last week I had a sonogram and they were not even able to see him or her yet. The baby's heart beat was 115 bpm, which the sonographer said was good at this point. She said by next week it should be getting stronger. We will keep everyone updated on how things are going as they progress. We can't wait until April when we welcome this little one into the world and can't wait to share this wonderful blessing with all of our friends and family! Please keep Baby Myers in your thoughts and prayers!

Hello everyone-

We are starting our first blog today. I'm sure most of you have heard the exciting news, which is what brought you here in the first place. We are having a baby!!!

We are going to post updates, pictures, thoughts, ideas, etc. on the new addition and this will make it easier for everyone to know what's going on. I'm guessing I (Daniel) will be doing 99% of the posts, but I'll make Jamie get on here sometime and post her thoughts.

The title of this post refers to our Doctor appt. this morning. According to the sonogram, our baby is 6 weeks, 4 days along. He/she is around .75 cm long. In the photo, it's the little thing inside the black thing. (Best way I could describe it)

We have another appt. next Thursday, so we'll post another update then.
